So what's new? Our partner Auping has succeeded in making a new mattress ticking out of an old mattress, which was possible thanks to Niaga® technology. We have shown that it is possible: product to product recycling without any waste!

You can recognize truly circular products that never have to become waste from all others by the distinctive orange Niaga tag! By scanning the tag, you gain fully transparent information about the clean & infinite materials used, and how to return the product for reuse of all the materials. Products that carry a Niaga tag have been designed based on the principles of simplicity, healthy materials, and reversible connections.

Earlier this year the world's first fully circular mattress with orange Niaga® tag was introduced -- the Auping Evolve. A shining example of circularity, this mattress with Niaga®️ technology inside is made from just two materials: steel and polyester. These materials can be reused continuously to make a new mattress, clearly better for the planet and better for our health. All materials of Auping Evolve mattress can easily be taken apart, thanks to our technology.

First of all, the used mattresses were taken apart by heating them. Afterwards all parts were sorted; pocket springs with pocket springs, ticking fabric with ticking fabric, comfort layer with comfort layer and so on. The ticking material was then shredded and processed into granulate grains by Senbis from Emmen. TWD Fibers from Deggendorf (Germany) has spun yarns from these grains. And finally Innofa from Tilburg knitted the new ticking. The new cover has the same high quality as a cover made from virgin materials.
